From Albuquerque International Airport to the Kid's boyhood hometown of Silver City, for example, it's a 238-mile (383- kilometer) drive southwest. From El Paso International Airport to historic La Mesilla and the adjacent city of Las Cruces, for instance, it's a 42-mile (67.6-kilometer) drive northwest. Billy the Kid's Lincoln County Map
This is is a driving tour to 21 places that were familiar to the Kid, Pat Garrett, and several Lincoln County War notables from 1878-81, incorporating the 69-mile (111-kilometer) outer loop of the Billy the Kid National Scenic & Historic Byway.

Billy the Kid's Old Fort Sumner Walking Map
This is a walking tour of 13 points of interest at the Maxwell family's ranch complex that were familiar to the Kid (and the folks who hid him from Garrett) from 1878-81, including the old post cemetery where the Kid's pals, Tom O'Folliard and Charlie Bowdre were buried (in 1880). The Kid hadn't the foggiest he'd end up there, too (in 1881).
